Cuz That's My Business!

A lot of folks were so intrigued and confused by the fact that I chose to pack my things and come home to Detroit from Atlanta during this whole COVID-19 pandemic. People asked why I didn’t just stay in Atlanta and quarantine there. What did you come home for? "I would've just stayed there." So I thought it would be fitting to give folks a little insight on my life in Atlanta,GA because it was a little unconventional for most. Ok so boom, let's get into it!

In June/July of 2019, my boyfriend was invited down to Atlanta to work with Jazze Pha. If you've been reading my blog for a while, you already know about that. Anywaydoe, from June/July to probably about October/November, we were in a long distance relationship. He lived in Atlanta and I was still in Detroit, visiting him on occasion. Well, finally in November, I decided to move down there with him. Now seeing as he does a lot of traveling and what not in his line of work, we never got an apartment or house or anything. To us, it seemed unnecessary. We tend to live a get up and go lifestyle. We like to travel whenever we want and be able to move around without tons of overhead. So our housing in Atlanta was pretty temporary, to say the least.

Our stay in Atlanta was FULLLL of lessons. Like so many life lessons. It actually wasn't quite what we imagined it would be. There were ups and downs and loopty loo's lol. But we enjoyed it none the less. So fast forward to March. We were staying in an extended stay. News of Coronavirus began to break and the only logical step in our minds was to come home to Detroit for a while. So boom, questions answered. We came home mostly because that's our business and we could lol. But also because there's a more solid foundation here. Plus we missed our families. Like SO MUCH! There is absolutely nothing like sitting on the couch in the living room of my parents home and talking and laughing for hoursssssssss. I absolutely love that energy.

If you follow me on social media, you'll notice that Detroit will be our solid foundation for a minute while we go out and travel and work and do our thing. We plan on living our lives to the FULLEST! We don't submit to many rules often. Seeing as we all only get one life to live, I suggest we make the most of it. Take the trip, start the business, write the song, jump and build your wings on the way down. Do not allow the opinions of others to shape how you choose to live your life. If there is something you've always wanted to do or a place you always wanted to go, the time is N O W ! Tomorrow is not promised my friend. As far as I'm concerned, it's up there and it's stuck there. It's really whatever.
