People have layers. There is a lot of stuff that goes into what makes up the fabric of us as human beings. Given the many facets of the human experience, it only makes sense that some of us have many talents and are good at many things. For as long as I can remember, I've been a pretty multidimensional person. I've always been good at a lot of stuff and always had my hand in a bunch of things. With that being said, this TedTalk really resonated with me:
Have you ever felt seen? Like felt really included? I am she and she is me. I felt understood. There is room for me. As of lately, I've been trying to narrow down what it is I want to do. While most millennials have many side hustles and what not, most of them do center in on one thing as their "thing." I didn't know what my "thing" was. I didn't want to pick. I love everything I do. That's why finding this TedTalk made me immensely happy. I can now identify as a multipotentialite or "Multipotentialight" as I like to call it. Any given day, if you ask me what I do, I can tell you one of many things. I no longer feel the pressure to put a title on myself. It feels great! It is my hope that this TedTalk helps you in some way, shape or form. If you're like me, you've just been trying to figure it all out.
I plan on fully committing to every one of my interests, in due time. Jack of all trades, mastering them along the way. Because I can do that. Because it's my life. Because I have that option. Some of us just do a lot of things. And that's okay. That's just fine. Do life your way.... PERIOD!
