15 Minutes A Day to Set the Play....

Hello beautiful people! If you've been rocking with me for the last few years, you already know how I feel about meditation. For those of you who are new here, first things first, WHAT UP DOE?! Hope all is well. Around here, it's totally alright to go towards the light! Anywaydoe, I personally feel like meditation is a major life boost and everyone should try it. Recently, Necole of XONecole.com graced my inbox with her newsletter talking about how she starts her day with 15 minutes of silence and of course I decided that I needed parts...

Sooooo, I've been starting my day with 15 minutes of silence and meditation for about 2 weeks now and I have to say, I feel like my mornings are wayyy more zen with this ritual. Now before I took the dive into the silence game lol, my morning ritual consisted of a potty break and email/social checks. Like, I barely got the crust out of my eyes before I was glued to a screen lol. But these days, I'm learning to steer myself away from the obsession with phones and social media. I don't even keep my phone in my room at night anymore, but that's a story for another day.

Back to the 15 minute power up, let me share a few benefits I feel like you can gain from incorporating just 15 short minutes of silence into your wake up routine:

1. Starting Your Day on the Calm Side of the Bed

I just feel like once you sit still for 15 minutes and breath, focus, and center your thoughts for the day, you just approach your day from a much calmer place. Breath, Stretch, Shake.... And press GO (Like how i switched that up lol?)

2. Clarity

Your intentions are set. Daily goals are at the forefront of your brain. You can pep talk yourself to get ready to kill ish! You've basically centered yourself to conquer the day. You're visualizing how you want your day to go. Putting the plays together in your head.

3. Less Stress

When you don't have to wake up to a hectic mix of email answering and social media scrolling, life can become a bit less stressful. Trust me. Embracing the silence and mentally preparing for your day puts you one step closer to crushing anything that comes up against you.

Those are just a few things I've gained so far by incoporating this new daily practice. You can use your 15 minutes any way you want. I've spent 15 silent minutes laying in bed. I've used my silent 15 to make tea and I've also spent my 15 in the shower. Either way, the point of it all is centering yourself and imagining how you want your day to go. Postive vibes only dude. Set the mood. Set the intention. Conquer the day! If you choose to add this practice to your day, make sure you hit me up and let me know how it goes. I'd love to hear from y'all!
